I'm bored of playing public matches on games, should I try and get into to GB's?

Playing cod online is boring now, I want to start playing GB's and hopefully tournaments so I can earn some money. I don't know how to get into a team though. Can anyone help me out or give me a trial or something, and btw I just made an MLG account so I can start playing soon and I'm from the UK so It would be more convenient to play Eu time.
