How to decorate a country home?

I'm going to be decorating a friends house and he's no help in deciding what he wants. His bedroom and kitchen will be John Deere. There's another bedroom as well as the living room and a dining room/utility room area. The walls are going to be a tan color I believe. Any ideas about what to put on the walls, what colors to use, knick knacks? I'm crafty and will probably end up making like the curtains or something.. but need ideas! It has to stay "manly" too..
