Why do people act like this around me?

Okay i'm a 17 year old senior and on average i'm a quiet person, I usually only speak when spoken to, or when I find something interesting. I'm very kind, soft spoken, gentle, empathetic, sarcastic on occasion, easy going, the listener type as I prefer listening over talking, I am also very humble, prideful, understanding, open minded, weird and proud, not a leader but never a follow, i'm a behind the scenes person, supportive, adventurous, courageous, intuitive, I love to read, I also like learning especially science, i'm a bit of a thinker and my friends have said I sound like a philosopher. The older I get the more patient i've gotten and more tolerant, literally I enjoy 'annoying' people, and can deal and befriend narcisistic(if that is spelled correctly) but people always say i'm intruiging and that there is something about me they can't put their finger on. They also say I have puppy dog eyes, and sometimes I have moments between me and aquaitances, buddies, friends where after a deep conversation they'll stare at me weirdly, and on numerous occasions said that i'm different, but in an odd way, and when I ask what they mean they either say idk or i'll tell you someday or the most irritating 'There's just something about you'. This has happened with guys, girls, gay, straight, bi. What do you think? Also i'm gay, and people say even in my uality i'm different.
